Adoptions and guardianships

Adoptions

Adoption is one of the most meaningful legal processes a family can experience. Whether you are welcoming a new child into your home, formalizing an existing parent-child relationship, or taking the next step in your family's journey, the process can be both exciting and overwhelming.

While adoption is centered on love and commitment, it also involves important legal requirements that must be carefully followed. Our firm is honored to help families navigate the adoption process with confidence and peace of mind.

We assist families with a variety of adoption matters, including:

  • Step-parent adoptions,
  • Relative adoptions,
  • Adult adoptions,
  • Private adoptions,
  • Agency adoptions,
  • and other adoption matters.

Adoption creates lasting legal rights and responsibilities that can provide stability, security, and peace of mind for both parents and children. We are proud to help families take this important step and celebrate the beginning of a new chapter together.

If you are considering adoption, our team is here to answer your questions and help guide you through the process.

Guardianships

Sometimes life presents situations where a loved one needs additional care, support, or legal protection. A guardianship can provide the authority necessary to make important decisions for a child or vulnerable adult when they are unable to do so themselves. Whether you are seeking guardianship of a grandchild, caring for a family member with special needs, or helping protect an aging loved one, our firm understands the importance of these decisions and the responsibilities they carry.

Guardianships are often established when:

  • A child's parents are unable to provide proper care;
  • Grandparents or relatives are raising a child;
  • A family member becomes incapacitated;
  • An adult requires assistance managing personal or financial affairs;
  • or a vulnerable individual needs additional protection and support.

We understand that guardianship is about more than legal paperwork; it's about caring for someone who depends on you. Our goal is to provide practical advice, clear communication, and dedicated representation throughout the process.

If you are considering a guardianship or have questions about your legal options, we are here to help.

Family Law

Other types of family law include divorce, child custody and visitation, child support, paternity, and marital agreements. At this time we are not offering these services, but we can help you with your adoption and guardianship needs.
